New Zealand Prime Minister John Key has apologized to a waitress named in an anonymous article who accused him of pulling her hair and bullying her on several occasions. “It’s a familiar cafe which he regularly visits with [wife] Bronagh and both have a good relationship with those who work there,” a spokeswoman for Key said. “His actions were intended to be light-hearted. It was never his intention to make her feel uncomfortable and he has apologized to her.” The waitress reports in the article, on left-wing website The Daily Blog, that Key apologized by giving her two bottles of wine.
