New Zealand Ship Risks Oil Spill

Officials are scrambling to extract oil from a container ship that's been stranded on a coral reef in New Zealand. The Liberian vessel, Rena, struck the Astrolabe Reef on Wednesday and has been leaking fuel since. A full-on oil spill could cause an environmental disaster for the ecosystem. The operation to extract the oil from the ship began Sunday and is expected to last two days.
