Newsmax Host Declares Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a ‘Tax-Cheat Hypocrite’—Based on ‘Educated Hunch’
The right-wing host and Trump pal declared without any evidence that Ocasio-Cortez failed to report tips received while working as a bartender.
Because we watch Trumpland TV so you don't have to, today we witnessed Newsmax TV host and Trump sycophant Wayne Allyn Root demand to see Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s tax returns, because he believes the Democratic freshman lawmaker is a tax cheat:
AOC's tax cheating would destroy the entire argument of the Democratic Party that the rich don't pay enough. See, they pay plenty compared to a tax-cheat bartender hypocrite [...] I have an educated hunch. AOC was a bartender until just recently. She went from bartender to congresswoman. Only in America! Bartenders live on tips. They get a small salary, usually minimum wage, and 80% of their wages come from tips. Did Ms. Socialist Taxes pay taxes on her tips? Did she even bother to report her tips?
Root is a well-known conspiracy theorist, having previously claimed that the Las Vegas massacre was a "coordinated Muslim terror attack" and recently spread the theory that Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is secretly dead.
