Newsmax TV Host Frets That Legal Abortion Will Mean Being Able to ‘Murder a Rambunctious Toddler’
Right-wing host John Cardillo wondered Tuesday whether pro-choice activists believe you should be allowed to kill a toddler.
Because we watch Trumpland TV so you don't have to, today we learned that Newsmax TV host John Cardillo believes the failure of a Republican-backed anti-abortion bill to pass in the Senate will lead to the murder of small children.
In a Tuesday segment, Cardillo and Father Frank Pavone, the National Director of Priests for Life, speculated what would happen next in the wake of Sen. Ben Sasse’s (R-NE) Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act being blocked for consideration by Democrats in the Senate yesterday.
Pavone said:
So obviously, if they don't want to put that line at birth, here comes the question now that none of them has answered: Then where do they put that line?
To which Cardillo interjected:
That's right, can you murder a rambunctious toddler? Is that the next step on this very slippery slope?
The bill would have required medical professionals to care for infants who survive an abortion, lest they face felony charges—essentially equating abortion with infanticide. And while that debate rages on, no one is actually advocating for the murder of toddlers.
