Newt Supporters Associate Romney With Medicare Fraud
Pro-Gingrich super PAC releases latest scathing ad.
A pro-Newt Gingrich super PAC is accusing Mitt Romney of committing Medicare fraud in the latest attack ad to hit Florida airwaves. Romney served on the board of directors of a medical-testing company that pleaded guilty to the same thing. Though Romney was never implicated of any wrongdoing, former Florida attorney general Bill McCollum suggests that while Romney may not have been guilty, "It raises serious questions about his fiduciary responsibility as a board member not to ask questions that you would ask. Maybe he didn't spend the time because of the nature of the investment banking business he was in. He may have just been on the board because they put him on the board."
