The next installment in the Batman franchise may be missing Heath Ledger, but it now has a release date. Though Warner Bros. did not reveal the title, production start date, or plot for the Dark Knight followup, the studio did establish that it will be released on July 20, 2012. Christian Bale will reprise his role as the man in the bat suit, and Christopher Nolan will once again direct the film.
