A Tennessee NFL fan is in critical condition after fell from the stands and through an awning during a T-shirt toss conducted by the Titans’ cheerleaders on Sunday. The fall occurred during the third quarter of a Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots game at at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, where witnesses say Thomas Carrico Jr., 37, lost his balance and fell over low railing and onto the Titans’ tunnel entrance awning. Carrico reportedly landed on concrete and was then quickly transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was in critical but stable condition Sunday night, according to a police statement.
