Kenny McKinley, a 23-year-old wide receiver for the Denver Broncos, was found dead in his home Monday in an apparent suicide. At the time of his death, McKinley, who was in his second year as a pro, was on the injured reserve list for the second time in eight months; as a college athlete, he was the University of South Carolina’s all-time leading receiver. He’s the third Broncos player to die in the last four years: Cornerback Darrent Williams was killed in a drive-by shooting in 2007 and running back Damien Nash collapsed and died during a charity basketball game a few months later.
