The NFL looks like it’s going to get as serious about head injuries as it is about Brett Favre’s philandering: The league said on Tuesday that it will immediately begin suspending players for dangerous and flagrant hits. "We've got to get the message to players that these devastating hits and head shots will be met with a very necessary higher standard of accountability,” one of the league’s vice presidents told Mike and Mike in the Morning. “We have to dispel the notion that you get one free pass in these egregious or flagrant shots." The move comes following a series of hits in the NFL that caused concussions.
