Prosecutors in Erie County, New York, announced Thursday they will not bring rape charges against Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane because of a lack of credible evidence and the accuser’s lack of cooperation with the investigation. Kane was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in August at his offseason home near Buffalo. Additionally, results of DNA tests couldn’t back up the accuser’s claim of penetration, which is necessary for official rape charges, according to the prosecutors’ statement.
