Nicola Peltz Beckham is suing a dog groomer over the death of her beloved Chihuahua, Nala, claiming that the animal began hyperventilating immediately after the visit and died shortly after. Beckham first shared the news that her pup had passed on Instagram in June. According to the actress, her dog went to the groomer “perfectly healthy.” According to People, Beckham is suing Jony Ceballos, Deborah “Deb” Gittleman, and HoundSpa LLC, alleging “reckless and malicious conduct.” In the suit, she claims that Ceballos, the groomer, was still employed by the spa even after “a history of complaints” about abuse. The suit also went into further detail about Nala’s condition and said the dog had “suffered neurological damage.” She added: “I posted the experience on my Instagram to bring awareness, and was heartbroken to hear the horrifying stories from so many others who have experienced the same tragedy. I can't bear it. I’m outraged to hear how common stories like Nala's are,” Beckham said in a statement to the magazine.
