Nieslen is expected to announce Wednesday it will begin including Facebook conversations about TV programs in its viewership metrics as a part of a larger effort to accurately measure how people engage with television. The new Social Content Ratings system will include Nielsen’s Twitter TV ratings, which also track television-related conversations on the social-media platform. The system will also measure programs on both traditional TV and streaming services during the time period when the show is televised.
