Nipsey Hussle’s Brother Describes Their Heartbreaking Last Moments Together

Nipsey Hussle’s brother has described their heartbreaking last moments together after he found the rapper bleeding out in the street. Samiel Asghedom told the Los Angeles Times that he rushed to the scene after being told his little brother, known to him as Nip, had been shot. Asghedom arrived just before the paramedics pulled up, while his brother was still breathing, and started pumping at his chest as he lay in a pool of his blood. It was only when paramedics arrived and lifted Nipsey onto a stretcher that he discovered the gunshot wound in the back of his brother’s head. It “doesn’t make sense that somebody from the area, that just snuck up and just talked to him and shook his hand minutes before,” Asghedom said. “If somebody would’ve been there—if I would’ve been there—I would’ve shot back,” he went on. “I just wish I would’ve been there.” Asghedom said he’s proud of his brother’s legacy, saying he “made something work in an area that was run-down, that people were scared to come to, and he turned it into a landmark... All races. Different states. Many countries. They all come to Crenshaw and Slauson. He was truly the people’s champ.”
