This isn’t good, Kemosabe. Turns out critics don’t think that The Lone Ranger is a Western Pirates of the Caribbean. Director Gore Verbinski’s new flick, starring Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp, has been blasted as too long, unfocused, and confused, leading to a 23 percent rating on RottenTomatoes.com. While Depp has received some praise, apparently the movie can’t overcome its shortcomings. “It represents 2 1/2 of the longest hours on record, a jumbled botch that is so confused in its purpose and so charmless in its effect that it must be seen to be believed, but better yet, no. Don't see it, don't believe it, not unless a case of restless leg syndrome sounds like a fun time at the movies," wrote the San Francisco Chronicle.
