
Hundreds of residents remain trapped in North Carolina after Hurricane Matthew dropped more than a foot of rain on its deadly trek up the East Coast this weekend. Among the hardest-hit area is Lumberton, where a levee along the Lumber River burst its banks and submerged the city. Rescue crews in the air and in boats are pulling stranded people to safety.
