North Korea Launches Short-Range Ballistic Missile

North Korea rattled yet another saber on Monday morning, launching what U.S. Pacific Command described as a short range ballistic missile from Wonsan Airfield at roughly 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, Hawaii time. The missile was tracked for six minutes until it landed in the Sea of Japan. “We continue to monitor North Korea's actions closely,” said Lieutenant Commander Ray Osorio of U.S. Pacific Command in a statement. “U.S. Pacific Command stands behind our ironclad commitment to the security of our allies in the Republic of Korea and Japan.” NORAD assessed that the missile launch did not pose a threat to North America.
