Reclusive North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has arrived in Russia, where he will meet with President Dmitry Medvedev during a weeklong visit. It's Kim's first trip to the country in nine years. The visit is likely an attempt to secure food aid for North Korea and improve economic cooperation. On Friday, the two countries announced that Russia would provide food assistance to North Korea. It's also likely that Kim wants to secure Russia's support for his son and successor, Kim Jong-un.
