Authorities said an inmate at a Norway prison hacked into the facility’s television network to allow other inmates to secretly chat with one another as well as share pornography and other digital files. The Local reported Monday that officials at Halden prison discovered the hack after noticing a spike in data usage. Authorities also found a handwritten note with a log-in code on an inmate. Prisoners at Halden, which was designed for rehabilitation, have access to flat-screen TVs, an en-suite bathroom, and a mini-fridge inside their cells. Deputy Warden Jan Strømnes said prison officials have rebuilt the security system and inmates have returned to watching “regular TV.”
