How bad is the outlook for the Democrats in November? “This is a tough poll—about as tough as you get,” Stan Greenberg says about his latest poll for NPR. It shows voters in 70 swing districts preferring Republicans to Democrats 49 to 41 percent. In those 70 districts—60 of which are held by Democrats—President Obama’s approval rating is only 40 percent. Even within the Democratic districts, Republicans are preferred 47 to 42 percent.
