NPR's 'Wait, Wait' Host Retiring

DON'T TELL ME

Carl Kasell will be "scorekeeper emeritus."

NPR will be missing one signature voice come spring. Carl Kasell, the judge and scorekeeper of hit comedy news show Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me!, is stepping down from his post after half a century in radio. Kasell was a newscaster on Morning Edition for 30 years, but moved to the comedy show in 1998. He'll remain "scorekeeper emeritus" and continue to record voicemail greetings for the show's winners.
