The National Security Agency is looking to fill a needed role in the much-maligned organization: public relations expert. The NSA has posted a job description for a director of strategic communications to serve as the main spokesman for the agency. The person will “be the principal architect of external outreach designed to meet the president's expectations for greater transparency.” Unsurprisingly, candidates are required to have “absolute discretion.” Whoever takes on the PR challenge will be compensated handsomely, though, with a salary of $175,000.
