Escaped prisoners Richard Matt and David Sweat have been added to the U.S. Marshals’ most wanted fugitives list, 14 days after they broke out of a maximum-security facility in upstate New York. U.S. Marshals Service Director Stacia Hylton offered a $50,000 reward for information that leads to their capture. Separately, the husband of a prison worker accused of helping the convicted murderers escape said he feels betrayed by his wife, Joyce Mitchell, and is “looking for his life again,” said his lawyer, Peter Dumas. Lyle Mitchell had no clue his wife was involved until two days after the escape, when he confronted her and she warned him that the two men had been plotting to kill him, Dumas said.
