The man killed Friday morning by a falling crane in New York’s TriBeCa has been identified as 38-year-old David Wichs. According to family members, Wichs was a Harvard-educated immigrant who came to the United States from Prague as a teenager. He graduated from the Ivy League school with a mathematics degree and went on to work in finance. He was working at the financial trading firm Tower Research Capital at the time of his death.
