New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is at the center of a new federal investigation, the New York Daily News reports. A new probe by U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara reportedly targets the mayor and his inner circle over their involvement in the sale of Brooklyn hospital to a housing developer. One would-be purchaser of the hospital has previously reported that de Blasio solicited money from him before passing over his bid to buy the medical center. De Blasio is already facing a handful of other inquiries, some of which include other questionable donations from the real-estate industry.
