NYC Siblings Among Dead in Brussels

Two New York City siblings who were declared missing after Tuesday’s Brussels attacks are among the dead, a family member said Friday. Alexander and Sascha Pinczowski were on their way home to the U.S. when the bombs went off, disconnecting them from a phone call with their mother. “We received confirmation this morning from Belgian authorities and the Dutch embassy of the positive identification of the remains of Alexander and Sascha from the terrorist bombing at the Brussels Airport,” said James Cain, whose daughter is the fiancée of 29-year-old Alexander. Speaking on behalf of the Pinczowski family, he added: “We are grateful to have closure on this tragic situation, and are thankful for the thoughts and prayers from all. The family is in the process of making arrangements.”
