Even the president needs a vacation every once in a while. The Obamas arrived in Hawaii for Christmas early Saturday morning, just hours after the president urged Congress to take one last shot at compromising to avoid the ever-looming fiscal cliff. Although he claimed he would be back next week to strike a deal once and for all, it is unclear whether he or House Speaker John Boehner will be back to work that soon, despite the threatening Jan. 1 tax hikes and spending cuts should a compromise not be made. But for now, Obama is having at least a few days of relative relaxation. Mele Kalikimaka.
