Obama Camp Touts Iraq Accomplishments

Bad Timing

Ahead of VFW speech.

Ahead of President Obama’s speech at the annual Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in Reno, Nev., his reelection campaign has released an ad boasting of the president’s achievements regarding ending U.S. involvement in Iraq. The ad’s release also coincides with the deadliest day in Iraq this year, with at least 93 dead after bombing attacks tore through the country. In the video, Obama is seen speaking at Fort Bragg, N.C., telling a cheering crowd, “As your commander in chief, and on behalf of a grateful nation, I’m proud to finally say these two words, and I know your families agree: welcome home. Welcome home.”
