The president turned proofreader on Tuesday, when he commuted a sentence that was accidentally 3.5 years too long due to a typo. Ceasar Cantu had his sentence cut to 11.5 years from 15 years and was granted clemency as "a matter of basic fairness," according to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney. Cantu, serving a drug dealing sentence in Texas, had a typographical error in his sentencing that bumped the suggested sentencing range.
