President Obama addressed the United Auto Workers in Michigan Tuesday, there was no doubt about whether or not it was a campaign speech. “I placed my bet on American workers,” Obama said. “I know our bet was a good one because I’ve seen the payoff firsthand.” Without mentioning him by name, Obama referenced Romney’s now-infamous 2008 “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt” op-ed, which argued against the auto bailout. “Even by the standards of this town, that’s a load of you-know-what,” Obama said.
