Obama Faces Pressure from Left

New PAC organized by labor, liberal bloggers.

As President Obama takes on the Republican Party, he'll have to make sure not to leave his left flank unguarded: The New York Times reports that a group of organized labor, MoveOn.org, and liberal bloggers are teaming up to form a political action committee to push the Democratic Party to the left. Called Accountability Now, the group hopes "to enable Mr. Obama to seek more liberal policies without fear of losing support from the more conservative members of his party serving in Congress." Bloggers involved include Jane Hamsher and Glenn Greenwald and the group has the support of the SEIU and DailyKos.com
