Obama Gets His Years Mixed Up

Perhaps he drank one too many pints of Guinness in Ireland? Before leaving a stop at Westminster Abbey Tuesday during his state visit to the United Kingdom, President Obama wrote in the guestbook and signed his note, “May 24, 2008.” A witness swears it was Obama who wrote the note, and even said he was overheard asking the dean the date. The rest of the trip has gone smoothly: The president discussed policy issues and played ping-pong with Prime Minister David Cameron, chatted with Prince Charles and Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall, met the newly wed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and gave them a charitable wedding gift, and laid a wreath at the grave of an unknown warrior at Westminster. Here's hoping he wakes up rested tomorrow and remembers what year we're in.
