MAKING A POINT

Obama Has No Regrets for Using N-Word

White House says.

The White House defended President Barack Obama's decision to use the N-word to make a point during a recent podcast interview on Monday. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said Obama had no regrets. "The president’s use of the word and the reason he used the word could not be more apparent," he said. In an interview with Marc Maron's "WTF Podcast," Obama said, "Racism, we are not cured of it. And it's not just a matter of it not being polite to say n----- in public. That's not the measure of whether racism still exists or not." Obama's use of the word spurred debate over who is allowed to use the word and when it's appropriate to say.
