Don't worry, they're just pen pals. On Tuesday Iran’s foreign ministry revealed that President Hassan Rouhani and President Obama have been in direct communication via letter, despite the two countries not having official diplomatic communication. Obama apparently sent Rouhani a congratulatory note after his election victory, which was exchanged “through current diplomatic channels.”
