Obama Keeps Ads Off Colorado Airwaves

For this week, at least.

President Obama’s reelection campaign will continue to keep ads off the airwaves in Colorado for the rest of the week as a sign of solitude for the victims of last week’s movie-theater shooting. Both Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney suspended their ad campaigns in the state following Friday’s masacre, sparking speculation that perhaps the tragedy might influence less-bitter attacks in the campaign overall. “Just like everybody, we're taking this day by day. It is too early to say, on the specific policy issues, what that will mean,” an Obama campaign spokeswoman told reporters.
