In a wide-ranging interview with The New Yorker, President Obama discussed the election of Donald Trump and struck a mostly optimistic tone on the future of the United States and his legacy. “This is not the apocalypse,” Obama said. “I don’t believe in apocalyptic—until the apocalypse comes. I think nothing is the end of the world until the end of the world.” He also expressed concern with the proliferation of fake news online, characterizing it as an environment where “everything is true and nothing is true.”
