What’s the order of those stages of grief again? The Obama campaign seems to be in denial, shrugging off a recent drop in the polls that shows Romney pulling ahead of Obama nationally. David Simas, director of opinion research and Obama’s poll guru, said in a campaign webcast for volunteers Wednesday that polls won’t predict the election. “Polls will go up, polls will go down. At the end of the day, polls don’t matter,” the pollster said. He also reassured that if the race were today, Obama would “absolutely be reelected.” Based on what data?
