Obama Pollster: Primary Makes Romney Look Bad

The Obama campaign's lastest criticism of likely 2012 opponent Mitt Romney is that. instead of making him a better politician, like it did Obama in 2008, this year's primary race is actually ruining Romney. Pollster Joel Benenson sent a memo Wednesday arguing that "Romney's shifting positions in quest of conservative votes have raised concern among independent voters, and Tuesday's vote demonstrated that even the base Republicans he has so aggressively sought are rejecting his appeals." Not only that, he wrote, but, "Romney's tactics and the tenor of the Republican constest are driving an increasingly negative view of him and the entire Republican field."
