Obama Proposes Gov't Pay Freeze

No raises for government workers for two years.

This is just about the opposite of a holiday bonus for government workers: President Obama proposed on Monday a two-year freeze on federal civilian employees' pay. The move would save $2 billion for fiscal year 2011 and $27 billion over the next five years. It will not affect military pay and will have to pass Congress.
