President Obama on Friday evening reaffirmed his support for beleagured Democratic Party chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. The party leader has come under intense fire from progressives for her handling of the Democratic primary, culminating in democratic-socialist candidate Bernie Sanders throwing his support behind Wasserman Schultz’s primary rival. “She’s had my back, I want to make sure we have her back,” Obama told reporters following his remarks at a DNC event in South Florida.
