President Obama is trying really hard to smooth things over with our neighbors to the north and south before the North American summit in Mexico is in full swing. Obama will sign an executive order on Air Force One to lower trade barriers across the continent. However, Obama’s move probably won’t divert from the larger issues he’ll have to deal with at the summit, including sweeping trade agreements with China and pressure over the Keystone XL Pipeline.
