Obama Targets MTV Vote

The coolness factor is back—after a string of late-night show appearances, Obama is aiming young: MTV-viewer-young, to be exact. There are 45-million voters between the ages of 18 and 29, which is a make-or-break chunk—if they get to the voting booth. In an interview with MTV Friday, the president talked climate change, same-sex marriage, college tuition, and gender equality. He even talked about his daughters, saying they’re not allowed on Facebook for security issues. “Dates, that’s fine. She’s got secret service protection,” he joked. The network has also reached out to Romney for a similar interview, which they hope to air before election day.
