President Obama denounced Donald Trump while calling on Americans to vote for Hillary Clinton on Wednesday night. “There has never been a man or a woman—not me, not Bill, nobody—more qualified than Hillary Clinton to serve as president of the United States,” Obama told the Democratic National Convention audience. Obama touted Donald Trump as a unique threat to American democracy, telling the audience “don’t boo, vote,” when the Republican nominee was mentioned. Obama praised Bernie Sanders supporters’ unified efforts, while describing Trump as a divider. “Ronald Reagan called America ‘a shining city on a hill,’” Obama said. “Donald Trump calls it ‘a divided crime scene’ that only he can fix.”
