Responding to House Speaker John Boehner’s assertion that the president was acting like an emperor with his immigration actions, President Obama declared on Sunday, "Well, my response is pass a bill. Congress has a responsibility to deal with these issues and there are some things that I can’t do on my own." The interview, which was taped Friday, was aired Sunday on ABC’s This Week. The president pointed to a bill passed by the U.S. Senate last year that overhauled the immigration system, and pressed the Speaker to take it up.
