President Obama will announce his nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court at 11 a.m. Wednesday, amid reports that he has narrowed down his selection to either Judge Sri Srinivasan or Judge Merrick Garland. Reuters reported the two final contenders Tuesday, citing a source familiar with the selection process. Senate Republicans have said they would refuse to consider Obama’s nominee for the vacancy left by the late Justice Antonin Scalia, who died on Feb. 13. Srinivasan, 49, and Garland, 63, both serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia circuit.
