Obama to Tea Partiers: You're Welcome

You wouldn't know it from the Tax Day Tea Parties, but taxes have actually gone down this year for 95 percent of working Americans thanks to legislation like the stimulus package. One person who hasn't forgotten: President Obama, who told attendees at a DNC fundraiser Thursday night that the protesters "amused" him as a result. "You would think they should be saying thank you," he said. He addressed financial reform as well, which he warned needed support in order to overcome opposition by special interests. “It’s like throwing a piece of meat in a piranha tank,” the president said. “They’re going to race to see how fast they can tear it apart.”
