Maybe he’ll dive down and plug the leak himself? President Obama will visit the Louisiana coast on Friday to assess the oil spill. The president has been growing increasingly impatient, telling his advisers to “plug the damn hole.” But the nature of the trip will likely be determined by the success or failure of BP’s efforts to stem the oil leak using the “top kill” method on Wednesday. It will be Obama’s second trip to the region, and he will follow it up by going to Chicago for the holiday weekend.
