In an interview with the BBC ahead of his scheduled Europe visit, President Obama said he would conduct a raid similar to that which killed bin Laden if Pakistan housed another militant leader. He stressed that the U.S. respects "the sovereignty of Pakistan," but that he would not stand by and let terrorists plot destruction in Pakistan or in the U.S. "without us taking some action." Obama also discussed U.S. economic policy, facilitating peace in the Middle East, and communicating with the Taliban about cutting their ties with al Qaeda in Afghanistan. Obama leaves for Europe Sunday, and he is scheduled to stop in Ireland, Britain, France and Poland.
