Obama Vetoes Anti-Climate Change Bills

The bills sought to eliminate pollution limits.

President Obama has vetoed two bills that would have prevented his administration from addressing climate change. One bill would have eliminated carbon pollution standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency, and the other would have voided national standards that seek to reduce the amount of greenhouse gas pollution power plants create. Obama's move comes after nearly 200 countries last weekend signed an agreement to address climate change.
