Who will succeed retiring FBI Director Robert Mueller? The answer could be none other than Robert Mueller. Associated Press sources say President Obama will request that Mueller serve an extra two years in addition to the 10-year term he’s completing in September. Mueller has reportedly agreed to the extension, but Congress will still have to do so: A law enacted after longtime director J. Edgar Hoover died caps service at 10 years. Sources said Obama wanted to maintain stability at the FBI while the heads of the Pentagon and CIA change this year.
