On Wednesday, Congress granted President Obama the authority to fast-track the expansive Pacific Trade deal that promises to give the U.S. an economic edge over China. The Senate voted 60-38 in final approval of the free-trade deal. “Within reach is an opportunity to shape tomorrow’s global economy so that it reflects both our values and our interests,” U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman said. Obama is expected the sign the deal into law.
